Our Mission
ExploreTech's mission is to discover the raw materials needed for the next millennium of human development. We are a mineral exploration company that believes the solution to critical mineral supply shortages is extreme vertical integration - rewriting the entire exploration stack with purpose-built software. If successful, we will cut discovery timelines from 10 years to 1 year and usher in an era of critical mineral abundance.
Meet the Founders
Alex Miltenberger, PhD Co-Founder & CEO
Alex is a geophysicist with 10 years of professional and research experience in mineral exploration and other subsurface sciences. Alex has a PhD in Geophysics from Stanford University and a BS in Applied Geophysics from Michigan Tech.
Tyler Hall, PhD Co-Founder & President
Tyler is a geologist with 13 years of experience in mining, including exploration, project evaluation, and production. Tyler has a PhD in Geological Sciences from Stanford University and a Bachelors in Geological Sciences from Hartwick College.
Our History
2017 – At Stanford Mineral-XAlex & Tyler meet and spend their PhDs researching and refining the technology which was to become the foundation of ExploreTech's exploration engine.
2022 – First Drill TestsTheir algorithms recommend a drillhole that finds the source of a geophysical anomaly after a decade of failed attempts, proving the potential for drastically increased exploration success.
2023 – ExploreTech is FoundedCommitting to evolving the exploration industry, Alex and Tyler build a full-stack platform that fuses geology, geophysics, and AI modeling.
2023 to 2024 – Platform rolled out across 15 exploration projectsReal-world exploration projects allow ExploreTech to refine their methodology while continuing to validate 10× acceleration in data interpretation.
2025 – First Copper DiscoveryA collaboration with Giant Mining led to a step-out drillhole at Majuba Mountain that discovered of a new zone of copper mineralization.
2025 - Vertical IntegrationExploreTech shifts from a service model to an exploration model, paving the way to become the world's first vertically-integrated software and mineral exploration company.
